Yup it's true. Sherman and Ronald are back at it in our all new, re-imagined animated series about a happy-go-lucky cat that has frittered away his first eight lives and is oblivious to the fact that he’s living his last. The spiritual remains of Sherman’s past eight lives want desperately to move on to Kitty-Kat Heaven, but until all nine of Sherman’s lives are united, the eight are stuck in Limbo. Unable to do physical harm to their own bodies, they must possess someone else and have them do the dirty work. Sherman’s best pal and co-worker, Ronald is the poor unfortunate stooge who gets possessed by the ghosts and finds himself as the unwitting assassin. Led by the spirits within him, he unknowingly tries each episode to kill his life-long pal, and suffers the consequences of each failed attempt.

Cartoon Network will introduce two new action-adventure half-hour series based on heroes from DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation, Teen Titans Go! and Beware The Batman; a new animated series from LEGO, Legends of Chima; a new animated musical-comedy series, Grojband, from FremantleMedia; an all-new series iteration of The Tom and Jerry Show, produced by Warner Bros. Animation; a new season of the animatedTotal Drama “reality” series from CAKE Distribution, Total Drama All Stars; and also from LEGO, three quarterly installment specials of The Yoda Chronicles, a new CG-animated foray into the “Original Saga” world of Star Wars.

FremantleMedia Enterprises Announces World Tour For Grojband

MIPCOM, 9 OCTOBER 2012: FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) today announced a series of international TV deals for the kids’ comedy series about a wannabe rock band, Grojband.  The 52 x 11 minutes animation is a TELETOON Original Production by Fresh TV. FME manages the worldwide (excluding Canada) TV distribution, home entertainment and brand licensing rights for the series.

New buyers cover major territories including France (Lagadère), Italy (Switchover Media), Australia (ABC) and Latin America (Cartoon Network). These acquisitions follow the announcement earlier this year that Cartoon Network USA became the US broadcast partner for the series.

#1 Telecast!!!

Cartoon Network Across the first week of September 2012, Cartoon Network ranked as basic cable’s #1 network for Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, and the #2 network among kids 9-14. Older kids drove solid growth vs. the same time period last year, with average kids 6-11 delivery in Early Prime expanding by 11% and average delivery in Total Day expanding by 20%.

Among its original animated programming, Tuesday night’s season finale of Total Drama: Revenge of the Island (8 p.m.) scored as the #1 telecast of the day among boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, and was #1 in its time period among kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Overall, the series led Tuesday night (7-9 p.m.) to reign as the #1 network among kids 2-11 and all key boys, earning an average 8% delivery growth among kids 6-11 and 26% growth among kids 9-14.

Sidekick limited-edition signed art portfolios will be carried at this year’s comic-con in San Diego by Schanes Products, Booth 5504.

These portfolios are signed by the creators Todd Kauffman (me) and Joey So. Each portfolio contains 10 original images from the series, plus bonus artwork as well, all bound is a stunning folder jacket.

The edition run is 100 and only 15 portfolios will be made  available at Comic-Con. Orders can be placed with Steve as well, as we expect them to sell out.

Cartoon Network’s #1 Telecast of the Year

Cartoon Network’s “TOTAL DRAMA REVENGE OF THE ISLAND” Season 4 Premiere Scores as #1 Telecast of the Day on All Television Among Kids, Out-Performing Competition by Double & Triple Digits
Animated Reality Series Premiere Ranks as Network’s #1 Telecast of the Year to Date and Propels The Network To #1 for the Day with Kids 6-11
Cartoon Network’s hit animated reality series Total Drama Revenge of the Island returned Tuesday night, June 5 (7:30 p.m.) with the franchise’s fourth season, scoring as the #1 telecast of the day among all targeted kids – ages 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14 – earning double and triple-digit growth vs. last year’s time period, according to Nielsen Media Research. The season’s opening half-hour episode “Bigger! Badder! Brutal-er!” also out-paced all kids competition, by double and triple digits ranging between 66% and 277%, and propelled Cartoon Network’s entire Tuesday night early prime time (7-9 p.m.) line-up of animated comedies to #1 on all television among kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, as well as boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14.
Additionally, Total Drama Revenge of the Island attracted more than 3.3 million viewers 2+, up a remarkable 51% vs. the same time period last year. The premiere also ranked as Cartoon Network’s #1 telecast of the year to date among kids 9-14, boys 9-14, and girls 9-14, while #2 (behind the Ninjago finale) among kids 2-11 & 6-11.
Highlights of Total Drama Revenge of the Island’s fourth season premiere performance, compared to the same 2011 time period, include the following:
  • Kids 2-11 delivery (1,852,000) increased by 63%, and ratings (4.5) by 67%
  • Kids 6-11 delivery (1,492,000) increased by 113%, and ratings (6.1) by 118%
  • Kids 9-14 delivery (1,535,000) increased by 187%, and ratings (6.4) by 191%
  • Boys 2-11 delivery (1,223,000) increased by 56%, and ratings (5.8) by 57%
  • Boys 6-11 delivery (1,027,000) increased by 109%, and ratings (8.2) by 110%
  • Boy 9-14 delivery (1,041,000) increased by 181%, and ratings (8.5) by 183%
  • Total Viewers 2+ delivery (3,306,000) increased by 51%
